Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join a supportive and progressive residential conveyancing team in North Shields, Tyne and Wear. This is a permanent job offering a salary of circa £26,000, with full-time, part-time and reduced hours considered. The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with openness to amended working patterns. The successful Residential Conveyancing Assistant will benefit from genuine work life balance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, gifted Christmas closure, free local parking, pension and hybrid working and remote working available after probation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant, Residential Property Assistant or junior Conveyancing Fee Earner who wants to be actively involved in files without being placed into an unsupported, high-volume caseload.
The incoming Residential Conveyancing Assistant will work closely with experienced residential property fee earners, supporting live conveyancing matters while also working towards managing their own manageable caseload of straightforward sale files.
- Assisting residential conveyancing fee earners with key stages of property transactions
- Working on specific parts of residential property matters, including mortgage offer reviews
- Chasing clients, solicitors, lenders and other third parties for updates and documents
- Preparing completion statements
- Supporting sales, purchases and related residential conveyancing matters
- Managing a small caseload of straightforward sale files, appropriate to experience
- Using the practice management system to progress matters efficiently
- Providing clear communication and excellent client care throughout the conveyancing process
- Learning from experienced fee earners and developing towards more complex conveyancing work over time
- Working as part of a supportive residential property team in North Shields, Tyne and Wear
Applications are sought from Residential Conveyancing Assistants, Conveyancing Assistants, Residential Property Assistants, Legal Assistants or junior Conveyancing Fee Earners with experience in residential conveyancing.
- You will have previous experience working within a residential conveyancing department
- You will be confident supporting fee earners on live conveyancing files
- You will understand the stages of a residential property transaction
- You will be organised, accurate and able to work well with clients and colleagues
- You will have strong communication skills and a helpful, proactive approach
- You will be looking for a conveyancing job where you can develop at a sensible pace
