Permanent, Full-time Salary: 60,000 - 85,000 (depending on experience)
A leading legal services provider is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate
- Professional Negligence to join its high-performing team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong lawyer to handle complex, high-value disputes while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Role You will manage a varied caseload of professional negligence matters and play a key role in supporting team development and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of complex professional negligence matters from inception through to resolution
Handling multi-track, high-value disputes with confidence and autonomy
Providing clear, commercially focused advice aligned to client and insurer objectives
Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
Driving high standards of client care, technical quality and efficiency
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and team performance
Working closely with senior leadership to deliver on financial and operational targets
Ensuring efficient case management and strong commercial outcomes
Managing disputes through litigation, mediation and ADR where appropriate
Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with:4+ years' PQE in Professional Negligence or complex litigation
Strong experience handling multi-track, high-value disputes
Excellent technical knowledge and litigation skills
Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues (desirable)
Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic advice
Excellent organisational and time management skillsA proactive and solutions-focused approach
Strong communication and client relationship management skills
