A well established regional law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its forward thinking and commercially focused Employment team. The firm combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of people, organisations and commercial reality, offering high quality work and genuine opportunities for development.

The Team The Employment team is intentionally structured to bridge the gap between black letter law and the real world challenges faced by businesses and individuals. Employment solicitors and HR consultants work closely together as one integrated team, supporting clients across contentious and non contentious matters and collaborating with colleagues in Corporate & Commercial.

You'll work closely with senior colleagues, gaining exposure to the legal, commercial and people dimensions of strategic employment advice. The team prides itself on delivering solutions that work in practice, not just on paper.

The Work You'll advise established regional businesses, growth companies, senior executives and directors on a wide range of employment matters, including:

Contentious and non contentious employment work Restructures and TUPEWorkplace disputes and executive exits

Business protection issues

Strategic employment advice

Direct client contact and early responsibility

Opportunities to contribute to the team's future strategic direction

Involvement in marketing, BD and thought leadership activity

Because the team is lean, you'll enjoy genuine autonomy, close collaboration and meaningful client relationships from an early stage.

How We Work The firm offers hybrid working and trusts people to exercise good judgement about where they work best. For this role, there is significant value in spending time in the Bath office, working closely with senior colleagues across Employment and Corporate & Commercial. Office time is viewed as an investment in development rather than a monitored requirement.

There is flexibility to work from home and from the firm's other offices, with a balanced approach to hybrid working.
