Remote Working Salary: £63,376 - £70,000 (plus potential market supplement) Full-time role Permanent Overview of the Principal Contracts Lawyer role Sellick Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a County Council in the home counties on the recruitment of a Principal Contracts Lawyer, on a permanent basis. Due to continued growth, this County Council is seeking a Contracts Lawyer to join their Legal Services team, to provide high quality legal advice and support the council.

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for managing a small team of Contracts Lawyers. This opportunity can be offered on a fully remote working basis. Key responsibilities of the Principal Contracts Lawyer role You will be responsible for drafting, advising on and reviewing an excellent and varied range of high-value contract and procurement matters on behalf of this Local Authority, to include;
Contracts for Goods, Works and Services Construction contracts, including NEC4 and JCT contracts Framework Agreements Healthcare contracts Project work The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a small team of Contracts Lawyers. Required experience for the Principal Contracts Lawyer To be considered for this local authority Contracts Lawyer position, you will have: A qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, with current practising certificate Proven experience specifically within public sector contracts and procurement Experience working within a local authority, public sector, or similar in-house legal environment is advantageous Prior experience in supervision or management Benefits available alongside the Principal Contracts Lawyer role Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) Generous annual leave package Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
