About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join their esteemed legal practice in Port Elizabeth . This role demands a proactive approach to managing a diverse caseload of contentious matters, from initial case assessment through to resolution. You will represent clients in various forums, including courts and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are vigorously defended.

The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom presence, excellent legal acumen, and a commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for clients within the legal landscape of the Eastern Cape .

• Manage all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients effectively in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Draft legal documents such as notices, affidavits, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Interview clients and witnesses, gathering evidence and preparing testimony.
• Provide clear and timely advice to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in civil litigation.
• Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and evidence law.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing deadlines effectively.
