Junior Associate - Commercial Law

About the Role

Our client is seeking an eager and detail-oriented Junior Associate specializing in Commercial Law to join their fully remote legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in a wide array of commercial legal matters while working from the comfort of your home office. You will support senior lawyers in drafting agreements, conducting legal research, and managing case files for a diverse client base.

• Assist senior attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing various commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Conduct thorough legal research on commercial law issues, statutes, and case precedents.
• Support the management of client portfolios, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is meticulously organized.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on legal matters.
• Help prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to the collaborative development of legal strategies.

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa.
• 0-3 years of experience in commercial law or a related field.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and standard office software.
