We're recruiting on behalf of a growing law firm in the Woolton area that is looking to add an experienced Private Client lawyer to its busy and supportive team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' PQE and experience across a broad range of Private Client matters, with particular knowledge of Court of Protection work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll work with a varied client base, including high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients, while playing an active role in the continued growth of the department.
The RoleYou will be responsible for managing your own caseload, including:
- Court of Protection matters, including more complex cases
- Wills and Probate
- Trusts and Estate Planning
- Tax planning for private clients
- Advising elderly and vulnerable clients
- Keep clients informed throughout their matter with a high level of client care
- Liaise with organisations including HMRC, HM Land Registry, the Probate Registry, the Courts and other professional bodies
- Meet with clients both face-to-face and remotely
- Help develop new business opportunities and maintain professional relationships
- Contribute articles and content to support the firm's marketing activity
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 2 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Legal Executive within Private Client
- Solid experience handling Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Administration and Estate Planning
- Court of Protection experience is essential
- Confidence managing your own workload and prioritising competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Experience using Case Management Systems, Laser forms and Microsoft Excel
- A proactive, organised and team-focused approach
Experience working with high-net-worth clients is essential, while property experience and access to your own vehicle would be beneficial.
