Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its growing London Tax practice.
This broad transactional role offers exposure to matters across the firm’s corporate, private equity, finance, real estate, infrastructure and restructuring practices. The successful candidate will combine first-rate technical tax expertise with the ability to lead transactions, manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
What You’ll Do- Lead the tax aspects of significant corporate and M&A transactions.
- Advise on private equity investments, acquisitions and disposals.
- Handle tax matters arising from financing, real estate, infrastructure and projects transactions.
- Advise on restructurings and complex corporate tax issues.
- Manage cross-border mandates alongside colleagues across an international network.
- Interpret legislation and case law, translating complex issues into practical commercial advice.
- Take ownership of transactions and supervise junior lawyers.
- Develop relationships with clients and colleagues across complementary practice areas.
- Contribute actively to business development and the continued growth of the Tax practice.
- Approximately 5
PQE or above, operating at Senior Associate level. - England and Wales qualified, or possessing an equivalent background with substantial relevant UK experience.
- Broad corporate and transactional tax expertise gained within a leading international or top-tier law firm.
- Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of clients’ wider business objectives.
- Proven experience managing complex transactions and substantial work streams.
- Confident building relationships with senior clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers.
- A genuine interest in business development and building an external market profile.
