Become a valued member of Syntax as a Legal Counsel, working remotely to manage essential legal agreements and commercial contracts. With your legal expertise, you will support our mission-critical enterprise applications.

As part of a global legal team, the role entails reviewing and negotiating Master Services Agreements, leading negotiations with partner companies like AWS and Microsoft, and standardizing legal templates to ensure compliance. With a minimum of 2 years of experience required and a Canadian legal license, you will manage both strategic partnerships and internal product protections effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review contracts and negotiate terms with clients

• Draft and maintain partnership agreements and templates

• Identify legal risks in third-party agreements

• Provide support in vendor-related legal matters

• Conduct legal research and risk assessments

Requirements:

• 2+ years of legal practice experience

• Bar membership in Canada is essential

• Proficient in commercial law and negotiations

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong organizational and communication skills
