Medavie is expanding its Legal Services team with a new Legal Counsel. This remote position requires a JD or LL.B. and 4-7 years of relevant legal experience. You will play a crucial role in advising leadership on complex commercial, regulatory, and governance issues, thus aiding in strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements effectively
• Advise on corporate governance and regulatory matters
• Collaborate on strategic business initiatives
• Support real estate and property-related legal issues
• Monitor compliance and legal developments
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) necessary
• Active member of a Law Society in Canada
• 4-7 years of experience as a practicing lawyer
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and drafting
• Ability to manage competing priorities within a collaborative environment
