About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and results-driven Litigation Attorney to join their established legal practice in Pretoria . This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, balancing office-based strategic planning and client meetings with the flexibility of remote work for focused research and drafting. You will manage a caseload of complex litigation matters, representing clients in various legal proceedings and advocating for their best interests.
The ideal candidate possesses strong courtroom presence, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of civil and commercial litigation procedures. You will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes for our clients.
- Manage all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment and discovery to trial and post-trial proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze case law, and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court submissions.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Interview clients and witnesses, and manage evidence collection.
- Liaise with opposing counsel, clients, and court personnel throughout the litigation process.
- Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years of dedicated litigation experience.
- Proven experience in civil litigation, commercial disputes, and alternative dispute resolution.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to succeed in court.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and case management software.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
