Locum Childcare Solicitor - Fully Remote Opportunity
Initial 3-Month Contract (strong likelihood of long-term rolling extensions)
£60 per hour
Fully Remote Working (candidates must be based within the EU during working hours)
37 Hours Per Week (compressed hours may be considered)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, supportive and experienced childcare legal team, handling a varied caseload while supporting Children's Services within a busy Local Authority environment.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a busy caseload of Childcare matters with minimal supervision
- Progressing care proceedings independently from inception through to conclusion
- Preparing legal documentation and advising on case strategy throughout proceedings
- Providing proactive and reliable legal support to Children's Services
- Attending meetings and providing legal advice where required
- Supporting the wider Childcare team with ongoing casework demands
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for service users
- Fully remote working arrangement

- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX Lawyer
- Significant experience handling Childcare Law matters for a Local Authority
- Experience managing a caseload of care proceedings independently
- Strong knowledge of public childcare law and court processes
- Ability to work proactively and effectively within a remote environment
- Availability to work 37 hours per week
- Advocacy experience is advantageous but not essential
