Our client is seeking a seasoned Corporate Legal Advisor to join their fully remote legal team. This role is crucial for providing expert legal support across all facets of the company's corporate activities. You will be instrumental in ensuring robust corporate governance, managing contractual obligations, and advising on a wide range of legal matters that impact the business's strategic direction. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and legal documents.
- Manage corporate secretarial functions, including board meetings, resolutions, and statutory filings.
- Conduct legal research and risk assessments on new business initiatives and market expansions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate potential risks.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and case law relevant to the company's operations.
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in corporate law, commercial contracts, and corporate governance.
- In-depth knowledge of South African company law and related regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload effectively in a remote setting.
