Salary: 55,000 to 80,000A leading law firm is seeking an Associate to join its non-contentious Construction team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative and inclusive environment, advising a diverse client base across a broad range of construction matters.

The Role This role involves advising on non-contentious construction law, working both independently and as part of a wider team.

Key responsibilities include:

Advising on construction legislation and practice

Drafting and negotiating JCT and NEC contracts, including bespoke amendments

Preparing professional consultant appointments

Drafting collateral warranties, bonds, and guarantees

Applying contract law and understanding dispute resolution processes

Supporting clean and renewable energy projects (desirable)
Collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices

Delivering exceptional client service and managing multiple deadlines

Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a construction lawyer with:

Demonstrable experience in non-contentious construction law Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Commercial awareness and client-focused mindset

Ability to work autonomously and within a team Organised approach and ability to work at pace Interest in business development and client relationship building
