About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dispute Resolution Associate to enhance their litigation practice in Durban . This role is central to managing and resolving a broad spectrum of legal disputes for the firm's diverse clientele. You will be involved in all stages of the litigation process, from initial case assessment and evidence gathering to court appearances and settlement negotiations.

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters, ensuring timely progression and adherence to court rules.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, affidavits, and other court documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Gather and analyse evidence, prepare witnesses, and conduct cross‑examinations.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on the best course of action for dispute resolution.

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with litigation experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in dispute resolution and litigation .
• Demonstrated advocacy skills and experience appearing in various courts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client counsel in Durban .
