About the Role
Our client, a dynamic legal services provider in Benoni , is seeking a proactive Corporate Legal Advisor with a focus on supporting Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). This role involves providing practical and commercially astute legal advice across a spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including company formation, contract drafting, compliance, and basic dispute resolution. You will be a key point of contact for SME clients, helping them navigate their legal challenges and achieve their business goals.

- Advise SMEs on company law, corporate governance, and compliance requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including service, lease, and partnership agreements.
- Assist clients with business structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and dissolutions.
- Provide guidance on employment law matters and standard HR documentation.
- Manage basic debt collection and contract enforcement processes.
- Conduct legal research and prepare concise legal opinions.
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court with a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
- Demonstrated experience advising SMEs or startups.
- Solid understanding of company law and contract drafting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client matters simultaneously.
