Associate General Counsel - Contracts

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate General Counsel with expertise in Contracts to join their remote legal team. This role is fundamental to supporting the company's commercial operations by managing and overseeing all contract-related activities. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a wide array of agreements, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and risk appetite.

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including master service agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on contract interpretation, risk mitigation, and compliance matters.
• Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with internal business teams to understand their needs and ensure contracts support business objectives.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including execution, amendments, and renewals.

• Admitted Attorney with 6+ years of experience in commercial contract law, preferably in-house or at a reputable law firm.
• Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on various types of commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract law principles and risk management strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
