Our client is seeking an astute and experienced Legal Counsel specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) to join their entirely remote legal department. This role is paramount in safeguarding the company's intellectual assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will manage the IP portfolio, advise on IP strategy, and handle IP-related transactions and disputes, all within a virtual framework. • Develop and implement comprehensive IP protection strategies for the company's innovations and brands.
• Manage the registration, maintenance, and enforcement of patents, trademarks, and other IP rights globally.
• Advise on IP licensing, technology transfer agreements, and collaborations.
• Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Manage and resolve IP disputes, including infringement claims and challenges.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on IP matters and best practices.

• Qualified lawyer with significant experience (7+ years) focused on intellectual property law.
• Strong understanding of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, both domestically and internationally.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements.
• Ability to develop and execute IP strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, effective in a remote setting.
