Legal Advisor - Contracts Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Advisor specializing in contracts to join their growing legal department in Cape Town. You will be instrumental in reviewing, drafting, and managing a diverse range of commercial contracts, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risk for the organization. • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, partnership agreements, and service level agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation and advise on potential risks and liabilities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand contract requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain a central repository of all executed contracts and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Conduct legal research and provide opinions on contract-related matters.
• Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and templates.

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa or a qualified legal professional with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract law, with a strong focus on drafting and negotiation.
• In-depth knowledge of South African contract law and relevant commercial legislation.
• Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing complex legal documents.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
