CBC Legal Counsel

Position: CBC Legal Counsel - Hybrid Role
Embark on a rewarding career as Legal Counsel at CBC/Radio-Canada, specializing in business law within a hybrid work model. This dynamic position calls for strong legal expertise and relationship-building skills.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will be instrumental in advising the Corporation on diverse legal matters, focusing on procurement contracts and new media. Your substantial experience in business law will facilitate negotiations and help navigate complex legal landscapes while providing guidance to executives on critical topics. Your visionary approach will also allow you to mentor external legal counsel in transactional contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on operational legal matters affecting the corporation

• Negotiate and draft contracts involving key stakeholders

• Manage external counsel for complex legal needs

• Foster relationships within the local legal community

• Drive strategic initiatives within the Legal Department

Requirements:

• Active member of Quebec or Ontario Bar

• 3-5 years of in-house business law experience

• Proven contract negotiation and drafting skills

• Bilingual in English and French

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft applications
