Legal Officer - Property Law

Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Legal Officer with a specialization in property law to join their team in Nelspruit. This role is crucial for managing all legal aspects related to the company's real estate portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development projects. You will provide expert legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring all property transactions are conducted in full compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

• Handle all legal aspects of property acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating sale agreements.
• Manage commercial and residential leasing agreements, ensuring compliance with the Landlord and Tenant Acts.
• Provide legal advice on property development projects, zoning regulations, and land use planning.
• Oversee the registration of bonds, servitudes, and other property-related rights.
• Liaise with conveyancers, estate agents, and other external parties involved in property transactions.
• Address and resolve any disputes or legal challenges related to the company's property holdings.

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in South African property law, including conveyancing procedures.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating various types of property agreements.
• Sound knowledge of land use planning, zoning laws, and environmental regulations affecting property.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
