About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Legal Counsel - Contracts Specialist to join their legal team. This role adopts a hybrid model, blending remote work flexibility with necessary in-office collaboration in Soweto . You will focus primarily on the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide array of commercial contracts, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risk. The ideal candidate possesses strong contractual expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

- Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Advise business stakeholders on contractual terms, risks, and obligations.
- Maintain and manage the company's contract repository and associated documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline contract processes and templates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand contract needs and provide legal support.
- Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, focusing on contract law.
- Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of contract lifecycle management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple contract negotiations simultaneously in a hybrid work environment.
