Litigation Associate; Remote

About the Role

Our client seeks a driven and accomplished Litigation Associate to join their remote-first legal practice, servicing clients from the Richards Bay region and beyond. This role is central to managing and advancing complex litigation matters for a diverse clientele. You will be responsible for all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through to trial and appeal, all conducted within a fully remote work structure.

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution, including conducting discovery, drafting pleadings, and preparing for hearings.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
• Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare expert testimony.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other legal professionals on complex cases.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case files and client communications.

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of dedicated litigation experience.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex litigation matters.
• Deep understanding of civil procedure, rules of evidence, and courtroom practice.
• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Must possess own reliable technology and a conducive home office environment.
