Property and Agriculture Solicitor

Eventus Legal are seeking a Property and Rural Solicitor of 5 years' PQE or more for a full-time, permanent job position in Penrith, Cumbria, offering up to £80,000 depending on experience. This Property and Agriculture Solicitor job covers a real mix of rural, agricultural and landed estate matters alongside broader residential and commercial property work, acting for landowners, farmers, estate managers, business owners and private clients.

As the Property and Rural Solicitor, you will run your own varied caseload and act as a trusted adviser to a loyal agricultural and commercial client base. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising clients on the acquisition, disposal, leasing and management of land, farms and rural estates.
• Handling a full spectrum of property transactions, including sales, purchases and re-financing of both residential and commercial property.
• Advising on tenancies, licences, rights of way, easements and covenants affecting land.
• Supporting clients with succession planning, diversification projects and development opportunities.
• Working closely with colleagues across private client, corporate, real estate, construction and agriculture teams to give clients a joined up service.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, particularly with landowners, farmers and estate managers.
• Contributing to business development and raising the profile of the team locally.

To be successful in this Property and Rural Solicitor job, you will need:

• To be a qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in property law.
• A genuine interest in practising as a lawyer in rural matters.
• Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build rapport and give pragmatic, solutions focused advice.
• Strong technical ability across property matters and a committed work ethic.
• To be a proactive self starter, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of rural, agricultural or landed estate work is not essential, as our client is open to strong property lawyers from a general residential or commercial property background.
