In this newly established role, you'll report to the General Counsel and lend your expertise in legal services to various business partners. Your focus will include researching legal trends, drafting and negotiating vendor agreements, and managing sensitive legal matters. This role emphasizes excellent communication skills and critical thinking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain oversight of various legal files
• Research case law and legislative updates
• Draft and negotiate vendor and procurement contracts
• Consult on complex legal matters with General Counsel
• Provide clear legal advice to stakeholders
Requirements:
• LLB, JD, or equivalent law degree required
• Minimum five years practicing law experience
• Knowledge of laws affecting not-for-profit organizations
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Licensed to practice law in Ontario
