Remote Senior Corporate Counsel

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Remote Senior Corporate Counsel to join their forward-thinking legal team. This position is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa . You will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance on complex corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance. This role requires a seasoned legal professional who can independently manage high-stakes projects, offer astute advice to senior leadership, and contribute to the company's ongoing growth and success, all within a fully remote work structure.

• Lead and manage complex corporate transactions, including M&A, financing, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Provide expert advice on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and support business objectives.
• Oversee and manage external legal counsel engaged for specific matters.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions.

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in corporate law.
• Proven expertise in handling significant M&A transactions, corporate finance, and complex commercial agreements.
• Deep understanding of South African corporate law and international legal frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects autonomously in a remote setting.
