As our practice expands, we are seeking an attorney to manage a docket of workplace injury matters with partner guidance and dedicated paralegal support.

Job Details Responsibilities
  • Manage a docket of claimant-side workers’ compensation and employment-injury matters under the supervision of a partner.
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including investigation, client communication, legal research, motion practice, discovery, hearings, trial, and pre- and post-trial work.
  • Develop case strategies and prepare matters for proceedings before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
  • Maintain consistent client communication and explain case developments and next steps.
  • Direct the work of a dedicated paralegal and oversee case preparation, deadlines, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with partners, fellow attorneys, and support staff.
  • Participate in the firm’s community service and philanthropic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 3–15 years of litigation and trial experience.
  • Proven hearing or trial experience before an Industrial Commission strongly desired.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a docket while working effectively within a team.
  • A motivated, self-starting approach and the ability to lead assigned support staff.
  • Commitment to continued learning, client advocacy, and community involvement.
