Aplin is proud to partner with our client to hire two Litigation Legal Assistants / Paralegals for their downtown and southside offices.
OverviewIn this role, you will manage a variety of legal files with precision and professionalism, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish. Join a busy litigation team supporting case management, filings, and legal document preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Manage litigation files from start to finish
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and court forms
- Maintain lawyer calendars and track deadlines
- Conduct legal research, registry searches, and court filings
- Prepare and file documents with the Personal Property Registry and Land Titles system
- Review and proofread documents
- Handle billing, trust requests, and administrative tasks
- 5+ years supporting litigation teams
- Knowledge of Alberta litigation procedures and Rules of Court
- Ability to prepare routine legal documents independently
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- $400 Health Spending Account annually
