CRA Consulting is currently recruiting for an established and growing Personal Injury team looking to appoint an experienced RTA Fee Earner on a fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Personal Injury professional who is comfortable managing their own caseload and wants the flexibility of working remotely while remaining part of a supportive and expanding team.
You will handle a varied caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims, covering both pre- and post-litigation matters, including non-portal claims, disputed liability and motorcycle claims.
The successful candidate will have genuine ownership of their files, managing claims from initial instruction through to settlement and, where required, litigation.
The RoleYou will manage your own caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury and RTA claims, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and clients receive a consistently high standard of service.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of pre- and post-litigation RTA claims
- Handling non-portal and Fast Track matters
- Dealing with disputed and denied liability claims
- Managing motorcycle accident claims
- Taking ownership of claims from initial instruction through to settlement
- Assessing liability, quantum and medical evidence
- Reviewing medical reports and assessing compensation
- Preparing schedules of special damages
- Advising clients throughout the claims process
- Negotiating with insurers, third parties and their representatives
- Identifying matters requiring litigation and progressing proceedings accordingly
- Drafting and issuing court proceedings where required
- Completing Directions Questionnaires and complying with court orders and procedural deadlines
- Preparing disclosure and evidential documentation
- Dealing with telephone hearings and other hearings where necessary
- Instructing Counsel, medical experts and other professionals where appropriate
- Conducting relevant legal and case law research
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records
- Working towards internal performance, quality and service standards
We're looking for an experienced RTA / Personal Injury Fee Earner who is confident managing their own caseload and can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience managing your own RTA caseload
- Experience across both pre- and post-litigation claims
- Experience handling non-portal matters
- Experience dealing with disputed or denied liability
- A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process
- Strong knowledge of quantum and medical evidence
- Excellent negotiation and client management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management
- The ability to manage a busy caseload and competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and file management
- Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- The ability to work independently within a fully remote environment
- A practical and solutions-focused approach
A Solicitor or CILEX practitioner with relevant practising rights would be advantageous, although experienced Fee Earners without these qualifications will also be considered.
