Legal Counsel - Contracts

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a specialization in contract law to join their legal department in Nelspruit . This hybrid role requires a sharp legal mind capable of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts. You will be instrumental in safeguarding the company's interests by ensuring all contractual agreements are legally sound and align with business objectives.

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Provide expert legal advice on contract interpretation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, from initiation and drafting through execution and termination.
• Collaborate with business development, procurement, and sales teams to support their contractual needs.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline contracting processes.

• Admitted attorney with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law and principles of commercial transactions in South Africa.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex legal agreements efficiently.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities and deadlines independently.
