Duties

Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Counsel, the Senior Legal Analyst is the most experienced paralegal and provides paralegal and legal analytical support to the attorneys in the most complex areas of law. These duties may include the following:

  • Performing legal research assignments on substantive and procedural issues.
  • Regularly and independently conducting detailed reviews and assessing legal issues to be reviewed by the supervisors.
  • Assists in drafting pleadings for attorney review.
  • Assisting with the production of documents in response to subpoenas, discovery and Public Records Act requests.

PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits. Conditions
  • The incumbent will work in a high-rise office environment.
  • Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
  • Occasional travel may be required within and/or outside the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.).
