Compensation: $120,000 - $200,000 base salary + bonus, depending on experience, skills, work arrangement, and overall fit

The Role
Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 defense firm, is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its Seattle practice. This opportunity is well suited for a litigator with 3+ years of employment-law experience who is comfortable handling substantive matters independently while working within a collaborative national platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation, writing, and oral advocacy skills, along with meaningful experience handling employment disputes. Class action experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Handle employment litigation matters in Washington state and federal courts
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other substantive legal briefs
- Manage written discovery, document production, and case investigation
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Develop litigation strategy in coordination with partners and clients
- Prepare witnesses, experts, and matters for trial
- Advise clients regarding litigation risk and case strategy
- Communicate directly with clients throughout the litigation process
- Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national employment practice
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active Washington Bar license in good standing
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Meaningful employment-law litigation experience
- Class action experience required
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Hands‑On experience with discovery and substantive motion practice
- Deposition and courtroom experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage assignments independently with limited supervision
- Oregon Bar admission is a plus, but not required
