Associate Attorney

Office in Long Beach, CA. Hybrid or Remote position available, but candidate needs to reside in CA.

We are a boutique law firm providing defense of workers’ compensation claims on behalf of PEOs, employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators. We recognize the need to close claims as quickly and cost effectively as possible. We also defend employers against Labor Code section 132(a) and Serious & Willful claims.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Workers Compensation Defense team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation defense, Labor Code Section 132a and Serious & Willful claims. This role requires an attorney who is detail-oriented, capable of aggressive case handling, and able to independently manage their caseload.

• - Manage a caseload of 60 to 80 workers' compensation defense cases efficiently.
• - Conduct depositions and litigation preparation.
• - Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• - Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• - Negotiate settlements and represent clients at hearings and trials.
• - Maintain thorough communication with clients regarding case status and developments.

• - Must reside in CA.
• - Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• - Exceptional research and writing skills.
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
