Location: New York, NY. This is a hybrid position with in-office collaboration Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays. Compensation is $190,000 to $260,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing, with 2+ years of transactional real estate law experience and 2+ years of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactional experience.

Job Description
  • Manage sophisticated affordable housing and transactional real estate matters from structuring through closing.
  • Represent developers and property owners in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development transactions, and financing matters.
  • Work extensively with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions and related affordable housing financing structures.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and revise complex real estate, financing, organizational, and closing documents.
  • Help run transactions, coordinate deal teams, manage deadlines, and drive matters toward successful closings.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, partners, lenders, investors, and other transaction participants.
  • Support and supervise junior deal team members as your experience allows.
Qualifications
  • Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
  • 2+ years of transactional real estate law experience.
  • 2+ years of LIHTC transactional experience.
  • Experience with sophisticated affordable housing, community development, or real estate financing transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and transaction-management skills.
  • Experience representing developers or owners in complex transactions is highly valued.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced transactional practice.
