Our client is seeking an experienced and independent Remote Legal Advisor to join their fully distributed legal team. This position is based entirely online, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will provide strategic legal guidance and support to various departments, focusing on corporate governance, compliance, and contract management. • Offer comprehensive legal advice on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial issues relevant to our client's business operations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, service level agreements, and partnership documentation.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, proactively identifying and addressing compliance gaps.
• Manage and oversee litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and implement effective legal policies and procedures tailored for a remote-first organization.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide timely analysis on emerging legal trends and their potential impact.

• Admitted as an Attorney or Advocate in South Africa with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a demanding workload in a remote setting.
