Real Estate Associate

Porter Hedges is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join our premiere Real Estate practice. Candidates should have at least 2+ years of commercial real estate experience. Our associates take active roles in handling complex transactions involving the acquisition, development, construction, leasing, financing, and disposition of diverse commercial assets, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties.

Our team offers associates mentorship, training and support from a seasoned group of partners and counsel.

• Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) and closing documents.
• Commercial Leases for office, retail, and industrial portfolios.
• Development Agreements, easements, and restrictive covenants.

Oversee comprehensive due diligence reviews, specifically identifying and resolving complex title and survey issues.

Provide counsel to clients (we represent both lenders and borrowers) in financing structures, including construction loans, permanent financing, and mortgage/mezzanine debt.

Advise on entity structuring and the formation of joint venture (JV) agreements.

Assist in managing sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.

• Excellent academic credentials
• Credentials:
  Active bar admission in good standing in Texas (or eligibility to waive in).

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, education, and relevant job experience. Eligible for remote work after working at the firm for 90 days.
