A bit about us:
We are a 40+ attorney corporate and transactional firm delivering national-caliber legal work with the responsiveness of a boutique. We're recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a Best Places to Work firm. Our clients range from established brands and emerging companies to financial institutions, private equity funds, and investors, and our practice spans commercial and technology transactions, M&A, venture capital, financing, and data privacy.
A number of our attorneys have made the move from in-house roles and are thriving here — our billable hour structure and culture were built with that transition in mind.
- Base salary up to $275k + bonuses
- Work directly alongside partners who specialize in data privacy — built-in mentorship and a clear runway to subject matter expert status
- Track record of successful in‑house‑to‑firm transitions
- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long‑term disability coverage
- Matching 401(k) with profit‑sharing plan
- Generous PTO, sick leave, and paid holidays

- 2-month paid sabbatical after 7 years of service
- Hybrid — Denver or Boulder, on‑site 3 days per week initially
- Access to AI‑enabled drafting and workflow tools (Harvey, Legora, Draftwise) — practice at the front edge of the field, not buried in manual work
This role supports two partners who specialize in data privacy, advising technology, SaaS, and AI companies on privacy and cybersecurity compliance, and contributing to data privacy work across commercial contracts and M&A transactions.
- Advise clients of all sizes – from innovative startups to Fortune 500 companies – on privacy and cybersecurity compliance, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI and automated decision‑making regulations
- Draft and negotiate data privacy provisions in commercial contracts — data processing agreements, SaaS agreements, and IP licensing
- Support M&A transactions on privacy and data security diligence
- Assist with implementation of privacy and AI compliance programs and internal governance policies
- Manage data breach preparedness, response, and internal compliance investigations
Looking for:
- Colorado Bar Admission, or willingness to become licensed
- 4+ years of data privacy and security compliance experience, coming out of a law firm’s data privacy practice or a tech company’s in‑house privacy team
You should know some of the following:
