Position Overview

An established Texas law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with commercial litigation (3+ years) and/or insurance defense (5+) experience to join its Dallas team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can independently manage an active caseload while collaborating with partners and fellow attorneys. Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, discovery requests, and case reports.
• Manage discovery, document production, and case-related deadlines.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, and trials.
• Maintain client relationships and provide timely case updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• At least two years of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial litigation and/or insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation docket and prioritize competing deadlines.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Full-time position in Dallas, Texas, preferably onsite, with flexibility for remote work by prior arrangement.
• Collaborative litigation team with experienced attorneys and paralegal support.
