Remote Senior Litigation Attorney

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Litigation Attorney to join their fully remote legal team. • Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential risks associated with litigation.
• Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff in a virtual team environment.
• Stay abreast of legal developments and evolving case law relevant to litigation practice.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.

• Admitted Attorney with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on civil litigation.
• Demonstrated success in handling complex commercial litigation, personal injury, or other relevant areas.
• Exceptional courtroom advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in electronic discovery tools and litigation support software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote interaction.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Must be a member in good standing with the relevant legal professional body in South Africa .
• Must have reliable internet connectivity and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
