- Autonomy to manage your cases, supported by dedicated paralegal assistance and an approximate two-attorney-to-one-paralegal ratio.
- Established administrative systems for consultations, retainers, and file openings so you can focus on practicing law.
- A 1,750-hour annual billable target with a gradual ramp-up: 50% of the monthly target in month one, 75% in month two, and 100% in month three.

- Annual performance and salary reviews, potential discretionary year‑end bonuses, and possible additional commission opportunities.
- A firm‑issued laptop, Filevine practice management software, and Lexis Nexis legal research tools.
- A $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement, eligible mileage and parking reimbursement, and coverage of reasonable CLE expenses and bar dues.
- A collaborative environment that welcomes employee input and supports long‑term professional growth.
- A JD from an accredited law school and active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing.
- Approximately 5–10 years of family law experience preferred.
- The ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and related disputes.
- Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, legal research, and writing skills.
- Sound judgment, strong organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An empathetic, professional approach to guiding clients through sensitive and emotionally complex matters.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining responsive client service and consistent case progress.
- New Jersey residency and availability to attend court proceedings throughout the state.
- An established book of business is a significant advantage.
- Managing a family law caseload from initial intake through settlement, trial, or other resolution.
- Developing case strategies and advising clients on their options, risks, and potential outcomes.
- Representing clients in court appearances, hearings, motion practice, negotiations, and trials.
- Preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conducting research and applying New Jersey statutes, court rules, and case law.
- Negotiating practical resolutions that advance your clients’ interests.
- Maintaining clear, timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Collaborating with paralegals and firm leadership to meet deadlines and move cases forward efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate case and billing records while meeting the firm’s billable expectations.
