Remote Legal Counsel at ClaimsPro

Location: Montreal

Claims Pro LP is seeking a Remote Legal Counsel in Canada to provide business-focused, responsive legal support. Engage with commercial contracts, civil litigation, and errors and omissions claims.

The role combines reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, managing civil disputes, and overseeing E&O claims. You will partner with various stakeholders to resolve contract issues while working independently in a fully remote setting. Ideally, candidates should have a background in insurance, with a minimum of two years post-call experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and negotiate commercial client contracts

• Manage non-employment civil disputes and litigation

• Oversee errors and omissions claims from intake to resolution

• Provide legal advice on commercial and operational matters

• Monitor Canadian legal developments and industry impacts

Requirements:

• LL.B. or J.D., called to the bar in Canada

• Two to six years of relevant legal experience

• Experience in commercial insurance is preferred

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills required

• Ability to work independently in remote settings
