As a Contract Lawyer serving our Access Members, your core responsibilities will encompass:

Contract Review and Drafting:
Carefully review and draft contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal protection of our Access Members' interests.

Legal Consultations:
Provide expert legal guidance and consultations to our Access Members as needed.

Client Support:
Offer responsive and solution‑driven support to address our Access Members' legal needs promptly.

Legal Research:
Conduct thorough legal research to support clients' cases and transactions effectively.

Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

• Contract Review and Drafting:
  Carefully review and draft contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal protection of our Access Members' interests.

• Legal Consultations:
  Provide expert legal guidance and consultations to our Access Members as needed.

• Client Support:
  Offer responsive and solution‑driven support to address our Access Members' legal needs promptly.

• Legal Research:
  Conduct thorough legal research to support clients' cases and transactions effectively.

• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

$45 - $75 hourly

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to small business owners, helping them identify legal risks, evaluate options, and make practical business decisions.

• Review, draft, revise, and negotiate business contracts, including customer and vendor agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, leases, purchase agreements, and other commercial documents.

• Advise clients on day‑to‑day business legal matters involving contracts, employees, customers, vendors, ownership issues, and business operations.

• Meet directly with clients, explain legal issues in plain English, and provide clear, practical recommendations rather than simply identifying legal problems.

• Manage assigned client matters from intake through completion, including appropriate follow‑up and client communication.

• Conduct legal research as needed to provide accurate and practical advice.

• Collaborate with other REIB LAW attorneys and staff and recognize when a matter should be escalated or referred to specialized counsel.

• Maintain accurate and organized client files and matter notes.

• Provide responsive service consistent with REIB LAW’s relationship‑based approach to serving Access Plan members.

• Licensed attorney in good standing with a U.S. state bar (Texas preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing business law, including contracts, entity structuring, and advising small businesses.

• Strong ability to explain legal concepts in plain English to business owners.

• Experience advising forward‑thinkers or small business clients.

• Comfortable working in a client‑facing advisory role, not just document drafting.

• Ability to identify legal risks and recommend proactive solutions.

• Strong judgment and business‑minded approach to legal strategy.

• Comfortable working in a remote, flexible, contract‑based environment.
