Remote Procurement Expert - AI Trainer

Role Overview

Mercor is seeking experienced procurement experts to collaborate on contract-based projects across industries such as manufacturing, CPG, retail, and automotive. Professionals in this role will work through end-to-end supply chain and logistics workflows, explaining processes, documentation, dependencies, and key decision points. A core focus will be demonstrating how analyses are structured, executed, and timed in real-world contexts. This opportunity is well-suited for seasoned (4+ years of experience required) practitioners who enjoy applying their expertise to diverse project-based challenges.

• Outline and explain full supply chain and logistics workflows from procurement through delivery
• Break down typical analyses and planning processes
• Provide guidance on communications, disruption scenarios, and other day-to-day elements of supply chain functions
• Collaborate with project teams to contextualize supply chain challenges and solutions

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related fields
• Background in industries such as:
  • Manufacturing
  • CPG (incl. food and beverage, fashion, furniture)
  • Retail
  • Automotive
• Proven ability to analyze and explain complex workflows clearly and effectively
• Strong knowledge of demand planning, logistics operations, procurement, and vendor negotiation
• Close familiarity with tooling and documentation leveraged in supply chain departments
