Job Summary /Role Overview
The Supply Chain & Purchasing Coordinator plays a critical role at the heart of our operations, ensuring accurate inventory replenishment and reliable supplier performance. Reporting to the Commercial Operations & Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for translating demand into precise purchase orders and ensuring those orders arrive on time, in full, and to quality standards.
This is a proactive, high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys working with data, identifying inconsistencies, solving logistical challenges in real time, and holding suppliers accountable. Your work will directly support service levels, reduce waste, and protect margins within a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities Demand Validation & Purchase Order Management- Review system-generated order recommendations and validate quantities against real-world factors such as seasonality, promotions, and trends
- Create, verify, and issue purchase orders with complete accuracy across SKUs, pricing, and delivery dates
- Adjust and revise orders swiftly in response to changing stock positions or supplier constraints
- Track purchase orders end-to-end from issuance through delivery
- Act as the first point of contact for late, short, or missed deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Coordinate closely with hub teams to ensure uninterrupted operations and van loading schedules
- Maintain accurate trackers and ensure inventory and delivery data is visible and up to date
- Identify recurring supplier or data issues and recommend improvements to ordering logic
- Minimise waste, particularly for short-shelf-life products, by improving ordering accuracy
- Collaborate with category management and production teams on product launches, delists, and transitions
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory coordination
- Experience with in Food & Beverage, FMCG, or product-led businesses
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to “sanity-check” data rather than rely blindly on tools
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Strong attention to detail and a high sense of ownership
- Experience working with short-shelf-life or perishable goods
- Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
- Familiarity with ERP platforms or startup tools such as Airtable
- Exposure to reporting or analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Working Hours: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time
- Work Model: Fully Remote
