Senior Operations Manager - Logistics (Hybrid)

Our client, a prominent player in the logistics and supply chain sector, is seeking a highly capable Senior Operations Manager. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with essential in‑office collaboration, allowing for effective leadership and operational oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with transportation and warehousing providers.
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions to optimize logistics processes and visibility.
  • Develop and maintain operational budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and operations management.
  • Proven experience in managing warehousing, transportation, and inventory control systems.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote responsibilities with on‑site operational needs.
  • Experience with international logistics and customs procedures is a plus.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CSCP) is advantageous.

Operations Manager - Logistics & Supply Chain

This hybrid role requires a balance of on‑site operational leadership and remote strategic planning. The focus areas include inventory management, warehousing, transportation, procurement, and demand forecasting.

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management, warehousing, and transportation logistics.
  • Proficiency in supply chain planning and execution software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
