This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain or sales administration who is looking for a varied role with genuine long-term career progression.
The Role
* Processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
* Monitoring supplier deliveries, lead times and stock availability.
* Maintaining relationships with overseas suppliers.
* Supporting the packing and dispatch of customer orders, including preparing Royal Mail and courier shipments (typically 1–2 hours per day).
* Coordinating international shipments and ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate.
* Liaising with the finance team to ensure purchase orders and invoices are processed correctly.
* Preparing dispatch paperwork and ensuring customer-specific labelling requirements are met.
* Liaising with courier companies to arrange collections and deliveries.
* Assisting with stock control, stock replenishment and stock takes.
* Answering incoming telephone calls as part of the wider office team.
* Ensuring company quality procedures and processes are followed at all times.
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain or Sales Administration.
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Experience using an ERP or MRP system would be advantageous but is not essential.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Salary & Benefits
* £28,000 - £31,000 per annum, with regular salary reviews
* Monday to Friday, 9.00 – 5pm
* 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
