We’re a motivated, hard-working team with a drive for success, and we’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Buyer to join our Product and Sourcing Team.

About the Role

As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in developing and expanding our product range. You’ll be responsible for opening new supplier accounts, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, improving our existing product offering, and identifying new ranges and product lines to introduce to the business.

You’ll work closely with both new and existing suppliers to secure competitive pricing, improve margins, maintain availability, and ensure we continue to offer the right products at the right price.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source new products, ranges and product lines to expand our offering.
  • Research competitors, market pricing, product trends and new opportunities.
  • Manage and improve the performance of existing product ranges.
  • Analyse sales, margins, stock levels and product performance to support buying decisions.
  • Forecast demand and place purchase orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Work with suppliers to manage availability, lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, product quality and pricing.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce, logistics and finance teams to support product launches and ongoing ranges.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, product, pricing and purchasing records.
  • Meet company buying, margin and product growth targets.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confident negotiation skills.
  • Experience opening and developing relationships with new suppliers.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing and identify opportunities to improve margins.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with sales, stock, margin and forecasting data.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple suppliers and product ranges.
  • Proactive approach to identifying new products and commercial opportunities.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with purchasing data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience buying automotive parts, accessories, tools or consumer products.
  • Experience sourcing products directly from manufacturers and international suppliers.
  • Experience sourcing from Asia and Europe.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Experience working within an eCommerce or marketplace-led business.

Benefits

  • Company events and parties
  • Complimentary team lunch every 6 weeks
  • Hybrid working, with 1 day per week working from home
  • 3:30 PM Friday finishes throughout the year
  • Fresh fruit and fully stocked soft drinks fridge
