Are you organised, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with data, suppliers, and inventory planning? Avidity Science is looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our Operations team at our facility in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire.
This is a full-time hybrid role supporting the planning and procurement of materials required across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring the right inventory is available at the right time to support production, customer projects, and service activities, helping to maintain smooth operations and excellent customer delivery.
Role Location & Working Pattern
- Location: Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire (HP18 9BA
) - Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
- Role type: Full-time, hybrid
- You’ll need to live within a reasonable commutable distance and have an existing right to work in the UK.

Your Role
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will:
- Plan the supply of production inventory inputs (materials).
- Plan inventory requirements to support customer service and project delivery.
- Raise and follow up on purchase orders in line with inventory demand for Production and Warehouse operations.
- Raise purchase orders for wider business requirements as needed.
- Resolve queries relating to purchase orders raised by other departments, including Finance.
- Set up new parts within the ERP system.
- Work closely with the Operations Delivery Manager to ensure uninterrupted supply to the production line, supporting efficiency and on-time delivery targets.
- Collaborate with Quality, Buying, and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, correctly specified materials are sourced at the optimum cost.
- Support the Warehouse team with stocktakes in accordance with company policy.
- Follow the procedures, policies, and objectives relevant to your role and the wider business, as defined by Avidity Science’s ISO
9001-certified Quality Management System. - Participate in the ATS Business Model (ABM), including attendance at departmental Daily Visual Management (DVM) meetings.
- Support the Buyer with supplier management activities, reporting, and data analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone organised, analytical, and proactive, with a strong eye for detail and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across the business.
Helpful experience:
- Previous B2B experience, ideally within a Life Sciences, laboratory equipment, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Experience sourcing materials for a production line or manufacturing facility.
- Experience supporting purchasing, procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain activities.
- Experience using ERP systems and working with inventory data.
