Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their global procurement team, working remotely. This role is critical for developing and implementing long-term sourcing strategies that align with the company's objectives, focusing on driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation across key spend categories. You will build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, conduct complex negotiations, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve significant cost savings and supply chain improvements.

This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to significantly impact the organization's procurement function from anywhere, with a focus on the needs of operations potentially linked to the Kimberley region and beyond.

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including market analysis, RFx development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Manage relationships with key strategic suppliers to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Drive significant cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation within the supply base.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement leadership.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies that deliver substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in complex contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
