About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager specializing in Raw Materials to lead their sourcing efforts, operating entirely remotely to serve their Kimberley based operations. This senior role requires a strategic thinker adept at managing complex global supply chains, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials essential for manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing robust sourcing strategies, leading supplier negotiations, and managing key relationships to mitigate risks and drive value.

This is a crucial position for someone passionate about strategic procurement and optimizing supply chain performance from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for key raw material categories.
  • Lead complex negotiations with international suppliers to secure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Manage and nurture strategic relationships with key raw material suppliers.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, risk assessments, and cost modeling for raw material procurement.
  • Ensure supply chain resilience and continuity for critical materials.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a strong focus on raw materials sourcing in a manufacturing context.
  • Proven success in global sourcing, strategic negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of commodity markets, supply chain risk management, and international trade.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in advanced procurement systems and analytical tools.
